A Christian worldview of history teaches that history has meaning and direction. It is not just a series of random events. Christians believe that God is in control and is guiding history toward a purpose. While people make real choices, those choices happen within God’s larger plan. This view is based on the Bible’s story of creation, fall, redemption, and restoration. God created the world good and with intention. Sin entered the world through human disobedience, bringing pain, injustice, and brokenness. Because of this, history includes both good and evil, growth and struggle.

Jesus Christ is at the center of history in the Christian view. His life, death, and resurrection are seen as the most important events in all of time. Through Jesus, God works to save humanity and begin restoring what was broken. Everything before points toward him, and everything after is shaped by his impact. His impact cannot be measured by gift alone.

Christians also believe that God works through people and nations. Leaders, cultures, and events all play a role in the story of history. Even when things seem chaotic or confusing, God is still at work. This gives Christians hope and encourages them to trust that history is not out of control.

Suffering and injustice are real parts of history. A Christian worldview does not ignore these problems. Instead, it teaches that God can bring good even out of difficult situations. The example of Jesus shows that suffering can lead to redemption and new life.

In the end, Christians believe that history is moving toward a future where God will make everything right. This future includes peace, justice, and restoration. Because of this hope, Christians see history as a story that is still unfolding, with a good and meaningful ending
