One of the practices that impacted me most in my forty day walk with Alicia Cole was identifying what I cling to and consciously releasing it to God. This included not only physical possessions but also my need for approval, control, and comfort. Writing down these attachments and praying through them made me more aware of the subtle ways pride and busyness can shape my decisions. Daily reflection on scripture and journaling exercises helped me replace these distractions with intentional devotion, reminding me that God is enough and that He calls me to humility and trust.

By intentionally replacing these distractions with devotional focus, I was reminded repeatedly that God alone is sufficient, and that humility, trust, and reliance on His guidance are the foundations of a faithful life. Over the course of the forty days, I could feel a subtle but profound shift in my heart, a growing awareness that surrender is not a loss but an invitation into deeper intimacy with God.
